January 16 trying not to be discouraged Hello All... Well it is wednesday and Eric and I have weighed in.. Eric is down another pound January 12 So far so good......Hello to all of you "BIG LOSERS" (I mean that in a good way) From what I have seen so far everyone is doing a GREAT job with their contribution in the One Million Pound Challenge, specially my partner Holly she is staying focused with the task at hand and is helping me to do the same. I have to tell you all that reading all of the different blog entries that you all have been keeping is very inspiring. Its good to see everyone taking this challenge so seriously. I was wondering though, how will we know when the million pound goal has been achieved? I know I have lost track of all the pounds that everyone has been shedding. KEEP IT UP!!!!!
So its Saturday which ,so far has been the toughest day to stick to the workout and meal plan. I have never really been one to go the gym on the weekend (and nope I (Eric)didn't go today January 11 OH NO THE DREADED WEEKEND!!!!!! UH OH the dreaded weekend is rearing its ugly head yet again and this time bringing a Patriots playoff football game!!!!!! Over all Eric and I had a pretty good week. We stayed on track with our meal plan and We made it to the gym every night this week. I (holly) am a little nervous with the weekend approaching because that is when I usually fall of the turnip wagon and land into a bowl of candy!!!!! Eric has massive willpower and he keeps me inline most of the time by that I mean he trys to encourage me to stay focused. We are going to our friends house Saturday night to watch the Patriots game and of course my friends husband makes kick ass Buffalo wings!! I am going to make a baby leaf spinach salad with Straberries and sliced almonds, red onion and balsamic vinagar~~~ I usually put grilled chicken on it but I figured they will already have that and my other girlfriend is making meatballs. We are hopefully going to stay on track but who knows what the game will bring!!! well have a good weekend talk to you soon............... January 09 January 9, 2008 Well Hello everyone!! We just got home from our grinding work day well atleast Eric did, I have off on wednesdays :) Eric didnt get a chance to go to the gym because he had to pick up his sister from the airport but I went this afternoon and did some cardio. I also got weighed in today at Weight Watchers and I am down 4 lbs even. Eric weighed himself last night and he is down 2 lbs so needless to say we are both pretty happy!!! well i hope you all had a great day and we will catch up with you soon... January 08 January 8, 2008 I am very happy to say that Eric and I have made it to the gym for two days now and eating according to our plan!!! I cant wait to watch the biggest loser tonight!! The days seem to be getting maybe a teensy bit easier to stay on track but its not an easy task thats for sure!! I cooking up some swordfish and steamed broccoli and some whole wheat cous cous tonight for dinner and boy am I looking foward to eating it. :) I get weighed in tomorrow (weight watchers) some hopefully i will know how I have been doing so far on our meal plan. I will let you all know tomorrow if the scale went up or down. until then keep on a truckin!! January 06 January 6,2008 Whew!!! I am so glad that the weekend is over sounds crazy I know but you see we have the hardest time staying on track on the weekends.. Eric I both went out with our friends last night and Well I did have 4 beers and well Eric went a little overboard but I guess we cant cry over spilled milk right? I know that I should have been a little more clean with my diet or new lifestyle but we are both going to the gym nightly starting tomorrow..I know once we get in a couple of workouts we will get back on track.. I often wonder what kind of meal plan everyone else is using and honestly we are not sure if there is a particular one we should be following as far as the rules go but for now I am doing weight watchers and Eric is doing whatever I make him for lunch and dinner= weight watchers :) We are looking forward to watching the Biggest loser on tuesday night so we have to plan the gym accordingly. I really like this season with the couples it think it really helps mentally when it is someone you know or love battling the same obstacles by your side. Well I hope to report tomorrow with better news as far as our meal plan went in fact I know I will report with better news.. until then :)

Im thinking of tatooing it on my hands so whenever I put food in my mouth I can remind myself of that!!--- Just playin about the tatoo :) January 04 January 4, 2008 (the dreaded weekend) The dreaded weekend is here and this is where we usually slip up ok (Holly) slips up on the meal plan...but I am seriously trying to stay focused. I am thankful I HAVE MY BELOVED ERIC to keep me focused on our meals because I would be eating calamari right now = not good !!!!! I (holly) have been battling with my weight alot longer than Eric has but we both made this commitment to help each other with our goals. We are both tired of feeling crappy and honestly I (holly) feel like I can drive the poor guy (eric) crazy after awhile with the constant obsessing over what I eat and feeling like crap!! I have been dieting for most of my like starting from adolescence till now. We both want to do this to become stronger and much healthier and most of we will grow closer together through the process.Well i bid you a farewell for now and hope I can get thrpugh the weekend with my head up and mouth closed to unhealthy foods!!!!!!! January 03 January 3, 2008 Ok it is the second day of our journey and I must admit it is or was going ok until I (holly) said I was going to go to the gym this morning to take a killer aerobics class and couldnt get my behind to step foot outside in 8 degree weather!!! We stuck to our meal plan with maybe just a little hesitance but we made it through day 2.....
Eric and I never really disclosed our over all weight goals so If I may take a minute to do so...Eric would like to lose 10 unhealthy pounds and add 10 pounds of lean muscle mass or more.. he would like to increase his energy and obtain a healthy and more appealing physique ( I THINK HE ALREADY DOES :) ) I on the other hand would like to lose about 35 to 40 very tiring and robbing me of my self confidence and making my joints hurt unhealthy pounds. I would hope to increase my energy and finally feel good in my own skin.
Overall Eric and I would like to lose 50lbs total between us both I would like to tell you a percentage but at this time I am still somewhat ok very embarressed to dicsuss how much I weigh with Eric but in do time I will be happy to oblige until then we will continue to keep on going with our meal plan and Monday we will both be in the gym...
January 02 day one!! (the hardest)Ok well its Januray 2nd 2008 and hopefully the first day to a healthier life!!!! Eric and I went grocery shopping last night and stocked up on all of the healthy food we could get our hands on!!!! you know like chips, donuts, candy.... just kidding!!! :) We both have committed ourselves to the gym and away we go!!!! |
